Anti-War Demonstrators March on Washington

Wanna make a statement for peace. Get 100,000 of your closest friends and do the same march in Bagdad. Or even better how about Syria.

What a dumbass.

My Comments to Cindy

Cindy, you amaze me. I do not understand how you can even begin to say the military should leave the disaster area. The reason the military is there is to restore order. People were shooting at medivac flights at hospitals for crying out loud. You are so full of hate towards GW for your son's death. As a member of the military and a father I cannot imagine what you must feel. But your anger is misdirected. Blame those who killed your son. They are the same people that killed my friends on 9-11 at the Pentagon. GW did not kill your son any more than he ordered the occupation of New Orleans. GW is not to blame for Katrina either. There are so many layers of government which failed to take action. However, you and your liberal thinking comrades choose to blame the President for the lack of action of the idividuals who were warned to leave New Orleans and did not. For the local officials who did not use all the resources available to evacuate those who were unable to evacuate themselves. Let's not forget the police and other public service personnel who either participated in the looting or stood by and allowed it to happen. Your temper tantrum is really getting old. Do you actually think we can leave Iraq now. Do you honestly think Iraq will become a peaceful country if we pull our troops out? Ma'am, I have been there and I can assure you Iraq will be an open training camp for al Queida. The Iraqi people will be nothing more than target pratice for terrorists in training. Your son is a hero. In every since of the word. Blaming his Commander in Chief for his death is like blaming your president for the fact that Katrina hit the Gulf Coast at all. I do not question your abilty to question your government. It is my job, as it was Casey's, to ensure you have the right to do that. However I do question your logic. Your logic is clouded by your grief which only fuels your anger and your search for someone to blame.

Cindy Sheehan is an Idiot

I just read this on the Drudge Report. I am laughing so hard right now I can't even think of a sarcastic enough comment to counter what she is saying. God, what a friggin looney!

CINDY SHEEHAN CALLS FOR U.S TO 'PULL OUR TROOPS OUT OF OCCUPIED NEW ORLEANS'
Mon Sep 12 2005 12:42:11 ET

Celebrity anti-war protester, fresh off inking a lucrative deal with Speaker's Bureau, has demanded at the HUFFINGTON POST and MICHAEL MOORE'S website that the United States military must immediately leave 'occupied' New Orleans.

"I donÕt care if a human being is black, brown, white, yellow or pink. I donÕt care if a human being is Christian, Muslim, Jew, Buddhist, or pagan. I donÕt care what flag a person salutes: if a human being is hungry, then it is up to another human being to feed him/her. George Bush needs to stop talking, admit the mistakes of his all around failed administration, pull our troops out of occupied New Orleans and Iraq, and excuse his self from power. The only way America will become more secure is if we have a new administration that cares about Americans even if they donÕt fall into the top two percent of the wealthiest."

Sheehan is in the middle of a bus trip across America in support of her cause.

John Kerry runnin his mouth

Amazing how every body has to run thier mouth about the Govt vs. Hurricane Katrina. Even John Kerry has come out of hiding from licking his wounds to get his jabs in:

"Leadership isn't a speech or a toll-free number. Leadership is getting the job done. No American doubts that New Orleans will rise again, they doubt the competence and commitment of this Administration. Weeks after Katrina, Americans want an end to politics-as-usual that leaves them dangerously and unforgivably unprepared. Americans want to know that their government will be there when it counts with leadership that keeps them safe, not speeches in the aftermath to explain away the inexcusable."

I guess that's John's way of saying, if I had won the election, I would have stopped the hurricane from coming ashore in the first place.

My questions to John:

Where was the state and local leadership?
Why is it President Bush's fault that all those thousands of people did not move when the evacuation order was given?
So what is GW supposed to do? Start bailing the water himself? Kinda the same question as those that questioned what he did on 9-11. I guess he was supposed to run around a room full of 6 year olds like his hair was on fire and scare the shit outta the entire nation.
Why is it politics as usual to have the democrats screaming how it's the Republican's fault for a major disaster? I recall Hillary being the first in line after 9-11 saying "It wasn't Bill's fault!" I also recall my blood boiling as I watch her and her husband walk past me to attend the Pentagon Memorial and thinking "are you brave or just stupid to be here?" I also recall Hillary calling for the Senate to start an investigation into the Katrina disaster.

So, my suggestion to all the folks like Hillary and John and Kayne "dumbass" West is to be part of the solution. If you are pulling out your soapbox to talk trash about the President Bush for political gain you are PART OF THE PROBLEM.

In short: John...shut the hell up!

DRUDGE REPORT FLASH 2005

George Bush and FEMA are to blame for all the dead and looting in New Orleans, Louisiana, and Missisppi?!?! You have GOT to be friggin kidding me!!!

Where are the state and local governements?!?! Hey, Governer Blanco, where te hell ya been??? Is it not your responsibility to protect the residents of your state? How about the mayor of New Orleans? Did he execute the evactuation of New Orleans properly??? I think not!

Louisiana disaster plan, pg 13, para 5 , dated 01/00

'The primary means of hurricane evacuation will be personal vehicles. School and municipal buses, government-owned vehicles and vehicles provided by volunteer agencies may be used to provide transportation for individuals who lack transportation and require assistance in evacuating'...

"NEW ORLEANS FLASHBACK: OFFICALS WARNED RESIDENTS 'YOU'LL BE ON YOUR OWN'
Mon Sep 05 2005 18:57:15 ET

Before residents had ever heard the words 'Hurricane Katrina,' the New Orleans TIMES-PICAYUNE ran a story warning residents: If you stay behind during a big storm, you'll be on your own!

Editors at TIMES-PICAYUNE on Monday called for every official at the Federal Emergency Management Agency to be fired. In an open letter to President Bush, the paper said: 'Our people deserved rescuing. Many who could have been were not. That's to the government's shame.'

But the TIMES-PICAYUNE published a story on July 24, 2005 stating: City, state and federal emergency officials are preparing to give a historically blunt message: 'In the event of a major hurricane, you're on your own.'

Staff writer Bruce Nolan reported some 7 weeks before Katrina: 'In scripted appearances being recorded now, officials such as Mayor Ray Nagin, local Red Cross Executive Director Kay Wilkins and City Council President Oliver Thomas drive home the word that the city does not have the resources to move out of harm's way an estimated 134,000 people without transportation.'

'In the video, made by the anti-poverty agency Total Community Action, they urge those people to make arrangements now by finding their own ways to leave the city in the event of an evacuation.

'You're responsible for your safety, and you should be responsible for the person next to you,' Wilkins said in an interview. 'If you have some room to get that person out of town, the Red Cross will have a space for that person outside the area. We can help you.'

Developing..."

Seems to me everyone has a little bit of egg on thier face. Let's not lay the blame all on GW. Not saying he is blameless. Just saying thier were SEVERAL layers that failed to take action. I am taking about from the time Katrina hit Florida as a catagory I and went into the Gulf and turned north and into a Catagory V.

Now Hillary Clinton is calling for a "Katrina Commision" Bring it on Hillary. I'ld really like to know what happened myself. But then, I'm sure you've already written the report.

Let's not forget the people down there doing the looting. Is this GW's fault too???? Let's talk a little bit about personal responibility. You do what you have to do to keep your family safe and fed. I don't think looting the electonics department of the local Wal Mart qualifies and as making sure your family survives until FEMA can get in and deliver food and water. I know shooting at helicopters evacuating non-ambulatory patients does not qualify either.

It's amazing to me how we look for someone else to blame when we screw up. Manditory evacuation means just that. Don't bust the Presidents balls cause you chose to ride the storm out in an area 20 feet BELOW sea level. Kinda like bringing a knife to a gun fight.

Let me tell you a little thing that happened not too long after the tsunami hit Asia. My wife and I were laying in bed one night when my cell phone rang. It was a good friend of mine from the ship. He asked if I was watching the weather channel. He went on to explain that there was a tsunami warning for the entire west coast. My immediate concern was to get Chris and the kids as far east as humanly possible as fast as possible. I knew I was gonna have to go to the ship so we could get the ship out to sea. I was scared for my family but knew the quicker I got them out of San Diego, the better. I knew in good traffic they could be out of San Diego and at an elevation of about 3000 feet in just a half hour or so.

We waited a few minutes to confirm Jack wasn't messing with me. I didn't want to wait until an evacuation was called for. I wanted Chris and the kids in the Jeep and rolling East! We had the kids awake when they cancelled the alert.

Now this does not hardly come close to the crap those people went through in New Orleans but, it's the fact I took it upon myself to take care of my family. I did not ignore the warnings and wait until after the fact for FEMA to come evacuate the most important people in my life. I guess that's why I'm not a Democrat.

My hopes and prayers are with those who are still alive. Even more, I pray for those who have been given the responsibility to search out the dead and missing and restore order to the entire diaster area. I don't know I could do it.
